The mountains bring us closer to Georgia’s people, traditions, history and stories we might otherwise never hear.
TURI creates hiking and ski journeys through Georgia, both as small group departures and private trips. We cross high mountain passes, travel through remote villages and follow routes shaped by the landscape rather than a list of highlights.
Whether you join a group or travel privately, we keep the journey personal. We travel with local guides and leave time to move at a human pace, share meals and stories, and make room for the encounters and unexpected moments that become part of the journey.
About Us
Georgi was born in a village near Tbilisi but moved away with his family when he was young. More than ten years ago, we began exploring the country together on foot and on skis. Today, our daughter Nanouli often joins us. Annemaartje’s background in visual storytelling shapes how we see and share what we find along the way.
Why TURI
SURE-FOOTED
TURI takes its name from the Caucasian tur, a wild mountain goat found only in the Greater Caucasus. Sure-footed, it moves through steep terrain with remarkable balance, finding footholds where there seem to be none. To us, it represents a way of moving through the world: attentive, resilient and at home in the unknown.
